Sales Numbers (8/31)




In this week's Sales Wrap, Game makes a strong debut atop his competition, Jay-Z and Kanye West lose their number one spot and Beyonce falls from the Top 10.




Leading the pack this week is Game's R.E.D. Album which debuted at No. 1. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the West Coast rapper's latest solo offering has sold 97,900 records in its opening week.

Grammy-winning rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch the Throne moved down a notch to No. 2 with 94,200. Headed into their first full month, the duo's new joint LP has shelled out 707,100 copies.

R&B diva Beyonce's 4 fell three slots from the Top 10 to No. 12 with 21,000. After nine weeks, the soon-to-be mother/singer's new album has sold 700,100 units.

Grammy-winning rapper Eminem and Royce Da 5'9's Hell: The Sequel dropped two slots to No. 15 with 18,000. With 11 weeks knocked out, their new joint effort has moved 481,000 records.

Video vixen Rihanna's Loud album received an 18-spot boost to No. 20 with 14,600. With 41 weeks out of the way, her latest offering sits at 1,433,000 sold pieces.

R&B singer Kelly Rowland's Here I Am dropped six positions to No. 33 with 9,400. Headed into her sixth week, her new LP has sold 140,200 units.

Soulful singer Jill Scott's Light of the Sun received a seven spot boost to No. 35 with 9,300. With ten weeks in the books, her latest offering has pushed 312,900 records.

Young Money star Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday received a one slot jump to No. 36 with 9,300. After 40 weeks, the "Barbie's" debut album sits at 1,552,600 pushed units.

Pop star Bruno Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans slipped two slots to No. 37 with 9,200. Headed into his 48th week, the singer's LP has sold 1,236,400 pieces.

Late singer Amy Winehouse's Back to Black 2007 album moved up four notches to No. 40 with 8,700. Since its release, the album has sold 2,421,300 records.

Grammy-winning rapper Eminem's Recovery moved down one spot to No. 44 with 8,000. Headed into his 63rd week, Slim Shady's 2010 solo album has moved 4,008,400 pieces.

Miami rapper Pitbull's Planet Pit dropped four slots to No. 45 with 7,900. After ten weeks, his new LP has shelled out 182,100 units.

Evening things out in Top 50 is Wiz Khalifa's Rolling Papers at No. 50 with 7,200. With 22 weeks knocked out, Wiz's Atlantic Records debut has sold 556,400 copies.

Sales Wrap SOUNDSCAN NUMBERS 8/10




In this week's Sales Wrap, Beyonce leads the pack at No. 8, Eminem and Royce Da 5'9 fall from Top 10 status plus The Beastie Boys make a huge jump back onto the Top 50.




Leading the pack this week is Beyonce's 4 moving down three spots to No. 8 with 34,300 behind Kidz Bop 20 (36,900), Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party (40,900), Victorious: Music From The Hit (41,500), Mat Kearney's Young Love (44,000), Trace Adkins' Proud To Be Here (46,600), Eric Church's Chief (53,500) and Adele's 21 (76,000). According to Nielsen SoundScan, Beyonce's new album has sold 627,000 records to date.

R&B singer Kelly Rowland's Here I Am dropping ten slots to No. 13 with 25,300. Headed into her third week on store shelves, the former Destiny's Child member's new LP stands at 102,400 sold pieces.

Bad Meets Evil's Hell: The Sequel fell four positions to No. 14 with 24,200. With two months in the books, the duo's new album has shelled out 420,200 records.

Late singer Amy Winehouse's 2007 album Back to Black moved down nine slots to No. 16 with 19,700. Since its release four years ago, the album has sold 2,391,100 copies.

Miami radio personality DJ Khaled's We The Best Forever moved down 17 spots to No. 31 with 13,600. With three weeks under his belt, Khaled's new compilation album has sold 87,300 units.

Young Money star Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday received a five-slot boost to No. 32 with 12,600. After 37 weeks, the rapper's debut album stands at 1,522,800 sold pieces.

Miami rapper Pitbull's Planet Pit fell two slots to No. 34 with 12,400. After seven weeks, his latest offering has pushed 155,400 records out of stores.

Pop star Bruno Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans remained at No. 38 with 11,500. With 44 weeks knocked out, his new album has sold 1,206,500 records.

Soulful singer Jill Scott's Light of the Sun moved down 12 positions to No. 39 with 11,400. Headed into her second full month, the singer's newest solo project has sold 284,500 units.

G.O.O.D. Music rapper Big Sean's Finally Famous dropped 11 slots to No. 41 with 10,800. Headed into his seventh week, the Detroit-bred emcee's long-awaited debut stands at 170,700 sold records.

Grammy-winning rapper Eminem's Recovery remained at No. 43 with 10,1000. After 59 weeks, his 2010 solo LP has sold 3,981,500 pieces.

Pop vixen Rihanna's Loud slipped a notch to No. 46 with 9,400. After 38 weeks, her latest offering has sold 1,399,400 units.

Singer Joss Stone's LP1 dropped 38 positions to No. 47 with 9,200. With two weeks knocked out, her new LP has sold 38,900 records.

Pittsburgh rapper Wiz Khalifa's Rolling Papers fell seven slots to No. 49 with 8,900. With 19 weeks knocked out, his Atlantic Records debut stands at 533,700 sold units.

Evening things out in Top 50 are The Beastie Boys' Hot Sauce Committee, Part 2 making a huge 48-spot jump to No. 50 with 8,600. After 14 weeks, the iconic rap threesome's new LP has sold 301,500 copies.

Sales Number's Pt.3 (Soundscan of albums for 1/5)



In this week's Sales Numbers, Eminem moves swiftly to No. 2, Nicki Minaj reclaims her Top 5 throne plus Drake and Kid Cudi storm back onto the chart.

Leading the pack this week is Eminem's Recovery which moved up five slots to No. 2 with 63,300 records, falling one position behind Taylor Swift's Speak Now (77,000). According to Nielsen SoundScan, Slim Shady's new solo album has sold 3,414,900 records after 28 weeks in stores.

R&B singer Rihanna's Loud received a seven-slot boost to No. 3 with 61,700. With seven weeks in the books, the video vixen's latest offering stands at 751,900 sold records.

R&B singer Keri Hilson's No Boy Allowed dropped four slots to No. 15 with 32,700. Going into her third week, the video vixen's new album rests at 135,300 records.
