In this week's Sales Numbers, Jamie Foxx leads the pack of R&B singers within the Top 10, Ghostface Killah spaces away from Top 50 and David Banner & 9th Wonder arrive onto the chart.

Late iconic singer Michael Jackson's Michael opened the charts this week at No. 5 with 150,000 behind Jackie Evancho's O Holy Night (151,000), Glee: X-Mas (160,000), Susan Boyle's The Gift (240,000) and Taylor Swift's Speak Now (276,000). Singer/actor Jamie Foxx's Best Night Of My Life debuted on the chart this week at No. 6. After a week under his belt, Foxx's new album has sold 144,000 records.

Grammy-winning singer Eminem's Recovery received a 15-slot boost to No. 7 with 137,000. Heading into his 28th week, Slim Shady's new album currently rests at 3,351,300 sold units.

Young Money's Nicki Minaj debut album, Pink Friday, remained at No. 8 with 133,000. With five weeks to her name, the rapper's long-awaited debut has shelled out 791,400 scanned discs. [Check out Nicki Minaj's Score]

R&B singer Keyshia Cole's Calling All Hearts debuted on the chart this week landing at No. 9. After seven days in stores, the singer's latest LP pushed out 128,000 records.

Grammy-winning singer Rihanna's Loud moved up a notch to No. 10 with 111,000. After six weeks of going strong, the video vixen's new solo effort has moved 690,000 copies.

Right outside the Top 10 is Keri Hilson's No Boys Allowed which debuted at No. 11. With one week to her name, the singer's new album has pushed out 102,000 records.

Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy moved up four slots to No. 19 with 86,000. With six weeks in the books, Yeezy's new comeback LP has shelled 824,000 sold records. [Check out Kanye West's Score]

Southern rapper Trick Daddy's tax records have landed online and exposes the "Thug Holiday" hitmaker indebted to the government for $157,000.






Details of the rapper's legal woes hit the Internet Monday (December 27) evening.



Rapper Trick Daddy needs a better excuse for the IRS than "I'm a Thug." According to public records, the platinum-selling rapper took a "Thug Holiday" from paying the IRS and owes more than $157,000 in delinquent federal taxes. Taxes are just one trouble facing Trick Daddy, 36, a budding memoirist whose real name is Maurice Young. A bank foreclosed on his $320,000 Miami home in May and it was sold in October. What's owed: The IRS filed an $85,366 lien against Trick Daddy and his wife Sept. 3 in Miami-Dade County. They owe income taxes from 2007, 2008 and 2009, according to the lien. The IRS filed a $16,709 lien against Trick Daddy and his wife on July 29 in Miami-Dade County. According to the lien, they owe income taxes from 2006. Keri Hilson takes a jab at Ciara about low sales.

R&B singer Keri Hilson recently took a jab at Ciara for her new album, Basic Instinct, selling just over 35,000 records in its first-week on store shelves.

According to reports, Hilson called out Ciara's emphasis on album sales not holding relevance to an artist's buzz or brand.

Keri Hilson stirred up some controversy with her remarks about Ciara. In an interview with Power 105.1 on Wednesday (December 22), Keri was asked if she was nervous about releasing her album, No Boys Allowed.

"I would like to [sell] higher than 35k - I mean anyone would," said Keri referring to Ciara's CD Basic Instinct which sold 37,000 copies last week. "I saw a quote where [Ciara] said it's not all about the numbers and I'm not really a chart reader. I don't look at charts. It's probably what she honestly feels," said Keri.

Grammy-winning rapper Lil Wayne's new "6 Foot, 7 Foot" Tha Carter IV single has hopped off airwaves and already taken a step onto Billboard's Hot 100 list just weeks after its debut.



According to reports, Weezy's new record has earned a Top 10 spot.

"6 Foot 7 Foot," the first commercial release from Weezy since his stint in jail,debuts at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. The lead offering from next year's highly-anticipated Tha Carter IV sold 166,000 downloads in its opening week and also claims the No. 3 spot on the Digital Songs chart. It is the second time he has debuted in the top 10 as a lead artist since September with the Drake-assisted "Right Above It." Weezy debuted the Bangladesh-produced track on television for the first time during last weekend's "SNL." He will perform it again on "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" on December 31.

Jay-z cashes in a Milli for one show.

New York rap mogul Jay-Z will reportedly bank $1 million for a scheduled Las Vegas appearance set to take place on New Years Eve next week.

Details on the rapper's earnings landed on the Internet Friday (December 24) afternoon.

Jay-Z will earn big bucks this New Year's Eve, by performing at a private party. Next Friday (December 31), the rapper will entertain 2,500 party-goers in Las Vegas, at the Cosmopolitan Resort and Casino, for which he'll earn $1 million for his appearance. Jay will be joined by his wife Beyonce - although Knowles won't be singing at the glitzy event.

Reports suggest Chris suffered a seizure while performing at Manhattan nightspot SOB's.

Wiz Khalifa Announces New Single, March 2011 Album.

Although he still has no title for his debut album, Wiz has announced that "Roll Up" will be the title of his next single.

After "Black & Yellow," Wiz Khalifa has green on his mind. The young emcee recently announced that his next single will be "Roll Up," a song that will be on his upcoming debut. For now, that album remains untitled but it seems it will get a release in March of 2011.
"I'm definitely looking forward to my next single coming out," Wiz told MTV recently of "Roll Up." "I'm looking forward to my album dropping in late March, which is gonna be exciting for me and the Taylors worldwide. Like I keep saying, always keep building on top of my brand, keep doing what I'm doing and make new fans."
As for "Roll Up," Wiz said he came up with that song after speaking to his people about "a look."

Sales Number's Pt. 1 (Soundscan Sales of albums)

In this week's Sales Numbers, Michael Jackson lives again at No. 3, R. Kelly finds a home at No. 6 and Diddy-Dirty Money make a stop on the chart.

Leading the way this week is Michael Jackson's Michael, which opened at No. 3 behind Susan Boyle's The Gift (254,300) and Taylor Swift's Speak Now (259,100). According to Nielsen SoundScan, the singer's posthumous release shelled out 228,200 records after a week in stores.

R&B veteran R. Kelly's Love Letter debuted on the chart at No. 6. With seven days in the books, Kells' latest solo offering has sold 154,300 copies.

Pop star Bruno Mars' Doo-Wops & Hooligans remained at No. 29 with 54,900. Headed into his third month, the singer's new LP stands at 328,900 sold copies.

R&B singer Tank's Now Or Never debuted on the chart at No. 35. With seven days in the books, the crooner's new album has shelled out 43,700 records.

Video vixen Ciara's Basic Instinct also landed on the chart this week securing a spot at No. 44. After seven days in stores, the project has moved out 36,700 units.

Leveling things out in Top 50 is Lil Wayne's I Am Not A Human Being which moved one slot down to No. 49. Headed into its 13th week, Weezy's latest solo effort has sold 595,600 pieces.

Will Smith announces "Hitch" television series and an action series.

Emcee-turned-actor and film producer Will Smith has decieded to return to television. The Phili native who starred in the popular NBC program, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air between 1990 and 1996, has announced that he is producing two new series.

According to Variety, Smith, who is the head of Overbrook Films, will produce a TV adaptation of his 2005 film, Hitch, which co-starred Kevin James and Eva Mendes. Also, Smith will partner with China's Eva Jin for an action series chronicling a crime-fighting college student.

Neither show has a confirmed network at this time.

Twitter delivers their 2010 Trends List and hip-hop was all over it, with Drake, Lil' Kim, Kanye West and Lil Wayne being big winners in the Twitterverse.

    2010 has been a year of many things for hip-hop, and rappers on Twitter is one thats towrads the top of those things.. As Twitter released their 2010 Trends List, Drake had reigned supreme at the #2 spot on the Top 10 Most Retweeted List, losing to Stephen Colbert. Drake even beat out his Young Money cohort Lil Wayne, who ranked #3 on the trends list.

     Drake, who Tweets as the name @drakkardnoir, is known for sayin sensitive shit in tweets like "I know you're the one...the cloest I've come" and "I did not become someone different...that I did not want to be. But I'm new here...can you show me around?" to which his tons of fans and those in need of a good quote will spread throughout the Twitterverse. Other people on the Top Retweeted List include Kanye West, Rihanna, and Lady Gaga. 2010 was enough of a year for Drake already, as his debut solo album Thank Me Later earned him a top spot on the Billboard charts and is certified Platinum.
    
     The Twitter Trends list also brought some surprises to the table, including an appearance by Lil' Kim.The former Junior Mafia mistress sat at the #5 throne of Twitter's "People" list, sharing spots with Mel Gibson and Justin Bieber, who earned the #1 spot.
   
      With Twitter Trend results including so many rappers, it's inevitable evidenece of Hip-Hop's gradual move into the world of technology.

Rap veteran Lil Kim has come out to dicuss Young Money star artist Nicki Minaj and the possibility of doing a track in the future.

Lil Kim released this statement speaking to Hot 97's own Angie Martinez.

"I would do a song with her... for the right price. I'm a hustler. 7 million? Maybe," Kim said. "The girl is not as stupid as people think that she is...She know exactly what she's doing to make people feel sorry for her; that's her thing. She's a very contradicting creature, and I noticed that about her...God made it so that I can have my way back in and really represent the right way in this game for the females... Levi sues Evisu over "Tribute" jeans

“The Levi’s x Evisu (evis) infringement saga has a long history and has now taken a new twist.

Only weeks after Scott Morrison, current chief executive of Evisu and founder of Paper Denim & Cloth, shared plans for a Levi’s inspired collection called Tribute, Levi Strauss & Co. accused Evisu of violating a 1999 agreement between the two firms. In an interview with Dazed Digital, posted two days ago, Morrison said of his autumn/winter collection for Evisu:

“We used the word ‘reference’ as a starting point. It’s obviously a broad term, but the idea was to go back to Evisu’s love affair with Levi’s, Americana and especially the 1944 Levi’s 501 XX. The history is that during the war, the US government forbade all use of unnecessary fabrics. So Levi’s had to stop sew on the thread on the back of each jeans back pocket, and they painted them on instead. Hence the Evisu painted on seagull logo! There’s a great ‘reference’ tradition within Evisu and we took that thought process and applied to key items from history. We wanted to start re-telling the origins of how Evisu came into being.”

Morrison also told WWD earlier in March the collection “would pay homage to Levi’s 1944 501 jeans, its 1890 “Nevada” pair and its 1917 “Campbell” jeans.”
